What to Expect at Your Tasting
Congratulations on your engagement! This is such an exciting time, and we’re thrilled to be part of your wedding planning journey. One of the most anticipated (and delicious) steps in the process is your food tasting. Here’s what you can expect when you schedule your sampling with Monteverde Catering.
1. Scheduling Your Tasting
Once you’ve secured your venue and finalized your wedding date, it’s time to get in touch with us to schedule your tasting. You can reach out via phone or email, and we’ll send you our availability. Tastings are typically held on weekday evenings, as our weekends are reserved for events—but don’t worry, we’ll find a time that works for you!
2. Preparing for Your Sampling
To ensure your tasting is tailored to your needs, we’ll ask you a few key questions in advance. This includes your preferred menu items, any dietary restrictions, your wedding colors, and other details that will help us prepare. This allows us to craft a tasting experience that reflects your vision and preferences.
3. The Day of the Tasting
Your tasting is complimentary for the bride and groom. If you’d like to bring additional guests, we’re happy to accommodate them for a small service fee of $25 per person. During your tasting, we’ll serve two full dinners—so come hungry! And don’t worry about leftovers; anything you don’t finish will be packed up for you to enjoy later.
4. Beyond the Food
After the meal, we’ll sit down for a detailed consultation. We’ll review your event’s timeline, discuss logistics, and go over what to expect on your wedding day. We’ll also share linen samples to help you visualize the table settings. This is your time to ask questions and share any last-minute ideas or requests.
Your tasting typically lasts about an hour to an hour and a half, but it’s so much more than just sampling food. It’s a chance to connect with our team, fine-tune your vision, and feel confident knowing your big day is in good hands.
